Please join us at Church of Our Saviour Sunday February 10th for an afternoon and book signing with the Rev. Dr. Harold T. Lewis former Rector of Calvary Episcopal Church Pittsburgh and former Staff Officer for the Office of Black Ministries of the Episcopal Church. Dr Lewis will discuss and sign his latest book, It Is Well with My Soul: Messages of Hope for the Bereaved following the 10:30 a.m. service at 12:30 p.m. The book can be purchased at a cost of $20. The In addition to his latest book, Dr Lewis will have on hand Christian Social Witness ($10) and The Recent Unpleasantness: Calvary Church’s Role in the Preservation of the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Pittsburgh ($12) for sale and signing as well. The Rev. Dr. Harold T. Lewis has written seven books, including Yet With a Steady Beat: The African American Struggle for Recognition in the Episcopal Church; A Church for the Future; South Africa as the Crucible for Anglicanism in a New Century; and Elijah’s Mantle:
Pilgrimage, Politics and Proclamation. A native of Brooklyn, New York, he has served parishes and taught in seminaries in the U.S., Central America, Africa, the West indies and England. He is a graduate of McGill University and Yale Divinity School, and holds a Ph.D. in theology from the University of Birmingham (UK). He and his wife Claudette have a son, Justin, at whose wedding Mo Deb officiated in 2015
