Lenten Series: God in Plain Sight

Tuesdays, March 8-April 5 on Zoom

The Holy Season of Lent is a time for self-examination, repentance, prayer, fasting, self-denial and reading and meditating on God’s word. These 40 days are meant to bring us closer to God through Christ in order to joyfully celebrate his Resurrection on Easter Sunday. In times of stress or challenge, we often find it difficult to experience the divine presence in our midst. We may well ask the question, “ where is God in all this?” And then we are amazed to discover God was there all along – perhaps just hiding in plain sight – in the everyday mundane of our lives.  During this Lenten season, we will explore our relationship with God through Christ, each other and our neighbor as we reflect together on where we might find God in plain sight.

On Tuesdays from 7-8 p.m. on Zoom, you are invited to journey with us as we delve into what it means to discover God is still here in our present context. From 8-9 p.m. each Tuesday, we will pray a service of compline that will include a Lenten meditation. Use this Zoom link to join the conversation.
