The Rev. Debra Bennett


Sidewalk ChalkMother Debra Bennett is priest-in-charge at Church of Our Saviour, a position she has held since May 2012.

Mother Debra was previously priest-in-charge of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Roosevelt, New York in the Diocese of Long Island. She earned her master of divinity degree at Bexley Hall Seminary in Columbus and her BA from Wagner College in New York City.

Mother Debra has extensive experience in providing excellent Christian education for youth and adults, leading spiritual programs and retreats, and preaching. She recently wrote, "I am committed to solid Eucharistic worship; faithful Gospel preaching; regular spiritual and educational growth for all ages; sound pastoral care for the sick, dying and bereaved; and outreach and work for justice in the wider community."

Prior to seminary, Debra had a successful career as an editor at several publications and corporations in New York.
